With more than 250 hours of continuing education, Vector Solutions’ online course library allows EMS personnel to easily recertify and maintain compliance. Here’s a quick look at new and revamped training for first responders:
(NEW) Endocrine System Emergencies Basic provides EMS responders the fundamentals for assessing and managing patients suffering from diabetic and other endocrine system emergencies. The course also increases the understanding of normal endocrine system functioning and the pathophysiology of a patient with endocrine system disease.
(NEW) Basics of EMS Operations at a Mass Casualty Incident gives an in-depth look at mass casualty incidents, how to implement an incident command system, treatment areas as well as transportation and communication concerns to take charge during such events.
(NEW) Opioid Overdose & Naloxone Administration describes assessments and interventions for opioid overdose that may be authorized at different provider levels in different jurisdictions.
Assessment and Treatment of Submersion Injuries reviews the fundamental theories and procedures utilized by EMT personnel to assess and treat submersion injuries in the prehospital setting according to the current NHTSA standard of care for Basic Life Support personnel.
